报告摘要:
In this talk, we consider the KdV-Burgers equation, a partial differential equation that is applied as a nonlinear model of the propagation of waves on an elastic tube filled with a viscous fluid. By means of the associated equivalence algebra and the first integral method, we convert partial differential equations into an overdetermined system from which the bounded traveling wave solutions are derived in terms of elliptic functions. Numerical simulations of wave phenomena are illustrated, which provide us rich dynamic information.

冯兆生,美国德克萨斯大学(University of Texas Rio Grande Valley) 大河谷分校数学统计学院终身教授,德克萨斯大学杰出成就奖获得者。主要研究方向有非线性动力学,分支与混沌系统,数学物理问题,数值计算和生物数学等。在数学、物理等国际学术刊物上共发表学术论文180余篇,其中被SCI检索近160篇。近年在北美出版编辑六本英文著作/论文集,曾担任十余个国际学术会议的学术委员会委员,并在多个国际学术会议上做过大会报告。目前担任国际知名学术杂志Communications in Nonlinear Science and Numerical Simulation和Electronic Journal of Differential Equations的主编,同时担任六个国际SCI杂志的编委。
