The carbon nanotube and carbon nano-coil are developed using the chemical vapor deposition techniques. The one dimension nano-scale materials are synthesized on various substrate. The core of the carbon nanotube can be filled with Fe nano-scale particles with significant compression strength enhancement. Their properties including mechanical, electro-mechanical, tribilogy behavior are experimentally examined. The electro-mechanical behavior leads to strain sensing with ultra-sensitivities. The carbon nano-coils can be insulation layer for the electro-magnetic wave up to 80 GHz.
